VIOLATION: Wilson Blvd. and N. Kent St.

Today's violation comes to us from Wilson Blvd. and N. Kent St. in Rosslyn. We especially enjoy how the county official had time to place an orange cone next to the car, but didn't have enough time to put a quarter in the meter.

  • I've seen those cones in a couple of the photographs. Does that mean citizens can buy a cone and place it off our rear fender and create a 'legal' parking space?

    I'm all for that.

  • I agree with the previous post. I'm running out today to buy myself a shiny new cone, so i can use that instead of paying the meters.

Any laywers know if that will hold up in court?

  • Why should a county vehicle pay a county meter?

  • I agree the cone is stupid. But I'm curious, do you think it would be better for the County employee to pay for parking, and then get reimbursed? Or take a quarter out of the meter and put it right back in? What's the point?

Also, do you feel just as strongly about delivery vehicles that don't pay for parking, or are you just anti-government?

  • This website is ridiculous. I live in TX and here our emergency vehicles and government-business vehicles are exempt from parking regulations. It's understood across the country that emergency vehicles don't have time to look for a parking place because it just might be more important to take care of the emergency. So what if they park in front of a fire hydrant, or in a handicapped parking place? Don't you think your police and government officials deal with enough without having to worry about some dork with a camera taking pictures of them for petty reasons? It's just parking, you fool, get a life. From my experience, anybody who's this anti-government has a criminal history.
